Eden

The sea glistens blue and green,
Fish play in rainbow reefs,
Gulls that fly high above, sing their ocean songs,
And waves crash against the shore,
As shells shine in the sun.

The cliff stands tall guarding the land,
Its face is strong and stern
Grassy fields full of flowers, dancing in the breeze.
Sea salt carried on the wind
Mixing with their scent.

Over a hill the sound of sheep,
Fluffy white and soft,
They roam free with the cows the pigs and chicks,
The sheep dog plays near by,
And the cat sleeps in the barn.

An quiet lake where ducks can swim,
Serenaded by the frogs,
As the may flies dance, their lives are short but sweet,
Hidden in the forest rich and green,
The trees full of song

A river flows, a silver snake,
Through the trees and hills,
Passing through a sleepy town, nestled in the hill,
Houses made of wood and stone.
The people want for nought.

In the distance miles away,
Mountains part the clouds,
In snowy tips so very high, the eagle makes its nest.
Its eyes are fast, its wings are strong.
The lord of the skies.

It watches the land from high above
There’s no violence to be seen,
No smelly cars or choking fog,
No fields stained in blood,
Just this calm and peaceful land,
A land forever lost.
